Easy Maze Builder

Important Note

This plugin requires the Procedural Mesh Component plugin to be enabled. Go to Edit → Plugins → search for "Procedural Mesh Component" and enable it before using Easy Maze Builder.

Turn maze drawings into editable 3D walls inside Unreal Engine. Choose block-shaped grid generation or trace image centerlines into spline and procedural walls.

Work with your own wall meshes and materials, or start with the engine cube. Grid output supports individual Static Mesh Actors, one actor with separate components, or hierarchical instances. Path output supports spline mesh components or straight wall sections in one procedural component.

Version 2.0.0 adds repeatable mesh selection with a random seed, output limits and bounded path-image resolution. Generation uses background image analysis and batched editor spawning, with progress reporting and cancellation. Closed loops, border lines and nearby separate walls are handled more reliably.

Save generated geometry in your level for packaged Windows games. Grouped MazeActors use the plugin's small runtime module, so keep the plugin enabled for those outputs. Maze generation remains an editor tool.

The tool creates walls from your image. Floors, lighting, navigation, gameplay and puzzle generation are supplied by your project. Procedural sections are not welded into a seamless solid at junctions.
