Celestia Cut Privacy Notice

Last revised: 31 October 2026.

This notice describes the native Windows edition of Celestia Cut.

Publisher and contact

Celestia Cut is provided under the CelestiaDominance publisher name. Responsible operator/contact details are available in the CelestiaDominance legal notice. For privacy questions, contact support@celestiadominance.com or use the contact page.

Your media is processed on your device

Celestia Cut opens files you choose and processes media locally for editing, preview and export. This includes selected videos, photos, audio, filenames, file paths, media information and project content such as titles and captions. Those files and their contents may contain personal information.

The native editor does not provide an automatic Celestia cloud-media upload or server-side editing service. Its editing/export workflow does not upload your projects or original media to the CelestiaDominance website, VPS or object storage for processing. Local FFmpeg/FFprobe tools prepare previews and exports.

A CelestiaDominance website account is not required to edit. Store installation and paid-feature licensing use Microsoft services separately, as described below. Exporting does not automatically anonymize people or other personal information visible or audible in the output.

Local projects, preferences and temporary files

The app stores its project library, autosave/recovery information, settings and preview cache in its local Windows app-data profile. It can create local thumbnails, waveforms and compatible preview files. Project files can contain names, source paths and editing information; cached previews can contain copies or representations of your media.

You choose the destinations of named project saves and final exports. Library removal can retain a recoverable archive and does not remove original media or independently saved projects/exports. Use the app's library/cache controls and Windows file/storage controls to manage local data. Reference-protection rules can keep files still needed by a project or undo state. Removing the app does not promise deletion of exports, named projects, originals or separate backups.

Windows account, file-permission, encryption, synchronization and backup settings also affect local files. For example, choosing a OneDrive-synchronized output folder can cause Windows/OneDrive to synchronize that file independently of the editor. This notice does not promise that every local cache is app-encrypted or override your operating-system/cloud-backup settings.

Microsoft Store, Windows and SDK components

The Store edition uses Windows Store APIs to read the applicable licence and localized offer, request the optional Export Pro purchase and refresh/restore ownership. Microsoft handles the Store account, checkout and transaction service; Celestia Cut does not ask you to enter a payment card into its editor UI.

Windows and the supplied Microsoft components can process service, device and diagnostic information under their own terms/settings. Microsoft's handling is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Do not interpret local media editing as a promise that no Windows, Store or SDK information ever leaves the device. Some platform diagnostics may contain context about an error; consult Microsoft's controls and policies.

The native editor contains no Celestia advertising, user-profiling or automatic media-upload feature. Its local developer/QA timing tools are not an automatic production reporting service to CelestiaDominance.

Support and website visits

If you contact support, information you choose to send—such as your email, message, screenshots or diagnostic excerpts—is processed to handle that request. Review attachments and logs first: they may reveal filenames, project names or media content. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or private keys.

Visiting or using the separate CelestiaDominance website is covered by its website privacy notice. Website account, community, contact-form and upload handling is not automatically a description of data sent by this local editor.

Your choices and privacy requests

Choose which files to open and where to save or export. Manage local projects, cache, device access and backups using the app and Windows controls. Your law may provide rights concerning personal information held by the publisher; contact the address above with a request or concern. We cannot retrieve or delete your local originals merely because you used this offline editor.

Changes

This notice should be updated when the app's actual processing changes. The published notice must show its effective revision date. Any new cloud-upload, advertising or additional-collection feature would need an updated notice before it is introduced; this notice does not enable those features.
